When one speaks of Bicol Foods, one word comes to mind - SPICY. This region is known for Bicol Express, Pinangat and Laing. I have already featured these hot and delectable dishes here. Daet in Camarines Sur is no exception to Bicol's love affair with peppers. In fact, one of their more popular fastfood, Graceland, features a value meal with Bicol Express on it. But this post is not about those spicy foods, in fact, it is more of the opposite because a couple of photos shown here were Daet's very-own delectable treat, the Toasted Siopao (shown above) and Pasalubong pieces of Tarts, Brownies and Macaroons.
Other than that, here are some of the more common dishes, also found elsewhere in the country, but with a Daet twist:
Oh, I should definitely have had more dinner this evening!! These look delicious and I'm hungry all over again! Terrific captures, Oman! Hope you've had a good weekend. And thank you for your very kind words on my post several evenings ago, I appreciate them so much. Have a great week!

you should've tried the kakanin called "angko" and the pianono w/ pili. YUMMMM
ReplyDeleteI've been to Daet a couple of times and the food sure is unforgettable! There are several cozy places along Bagasbas Beach but my yummiest meal was with the very kind and accommodating Vinzons family. The seafoods were fresh and definitely mouthwatering. And the gata! Yummy! Try sinantol. It's preserved santol rind yata. Daet is certainly one of my most amazing food-trip experiences. :-)
