Another Baguio Trip

Just got back from another three-day trip (August 29-31) in Baguio City. This time, I am in Baguio to conduct a seminar on the Barangay Officials of Cabiao, Nueva Ecija. Cabiao is the 23rd of the 32 Cities/Municipalities of Nueva Ecija that we have to train and since there will be Barangay elections come October, the COA and ALANE have decided to conduct the seminar of the 9 remaining Cities/Municipalities after the election.

Since this maybe the last time that I will go to Baguio this year, I have decided to take a stroll around the City as well as enjoy its nightlife. Of course, the only time I have to do extra-curricular activities is either before 9 am or after 5 pm.

Located just above Session Road is the SM Shopping Mall. If you want a view of the entire City, you should go to SM where all of its four floors offers a panoramic view of the City. From there, you can see the Baguio Church, the Stadium/Oval, Burnham Park and most of Baguio's landmarks.

Baguio is also famous for shopping. Fresh vegetables, strawberries, wood carvings and peanut brittle are word-of-mouth products that Baguio can offer. Further, it is in Baguio where the ukay-ukay was started and made famous. It is always a thrill to find a bargain among rumages of clothes, shoes and bags there.

This time, I also got the chance to have a morning stroll from our place to Burnham Park. In the morning, activities in the park include aerobics and exercise participated in by various health buffs in Baguio.
.

Baguio nightlife is very much alive and kicking. We visited Alberto's which features live Bands. Then we went to Blue Cat KTV and sang our hearts out.

.

Time to go home... (I am missing Baguio already)
