Dong Ho and I have shared and showed to you in our previous posts the hills and amazing rock formations as well as the pristine beaches and shorelines of Capones Island.
.
However, the island is not just hills and beaches but also has everything that a nature-lover wants. So, in my last post about the place, let me share to you some other elements and scenes not only on the beach and the hills but from some other things in between.
.
Again, I would like to thank my friend Dom and the Lingkod-Alabang Brothers whom I joined in this memorable trip.
Although we shared to you the beauty of the place, it is disheartening to see piles of trash left by fellow campers and tourists as well as writing of "XXX was here" in the rocks and hills of the islands.
As you look at these pics, please join me in pleading to everyone who wants to go there to protect the place and refrain from vandalizing and leaving their thrash in this wonderful island paradise. Let us be responsible and share this wonderful island to future generations.
Beautiful shots Lawstude. I bet you and Dong had a great time there. Sama naman ako next time.
ReplyDeleteI love the photos. Ang ganda ng 1st photo. The blue is really nice.
ReplyDeleteas usual napa wow na naman ako. ang pinakamagandang kuha para sa akin ay picture number 2. ang most memorable pic is number 9.
ReplyDeletesaan ang next destination mo this augist? at saan ka sa september? like september 08? (wink)
LS: I would like to go there and help you with the cleanup. What a great place.
ReplyDeletethese are great shots...it's as if we were there with you guys.i love the 1st photo, it's poetic.:) the 4th pic is also beautiful.
ReplyDeleteHello Guys it's 08.08.08 and the start of the Beijing Olympics. But as early as yesterday, my blog seemed to be sommersaulting with errors that the comment section has been acting funny. Nevertheless, I think it is ok now 'coz the comments in my two previous posts have come back.
ReplyDelete@ vanessa - we really had a great time kahit bumagyo. come to think of it, the bad weather added fun to the experience.
@ the islander - thanks.
ReplyDeleteit's really sad how some visitors just rampantly leave their garbage behind. walang care-taker ang place kaya dapat di nila abusuhin ang island.
minsan tuloy kakalungkot magblog about a new place kasi baka puntahan ng mga unconcerned tourists.
ReplyDeletesa august at september medyo maulan kaya baka iwas muna travel pero who knows?
ano meron sa september 8? (kunwari di alam)
@ fishing guy - that would be great. thank you.
ReplyDelete@ luna miranda - glad you like them and thank you for joining me and dong in this journey.

ReplyDeleteSuch beautiful scenery! Did someone actually leave the stones that spell HELP? The imagination would begin to stir in a place like this for sure. Thank you for sharing.
ReplyDeletethese are all beautiful photos makes me want to be there
ReplyDeleteSeptember 8 ay birthday ni mama mary. hehehe.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great selection of photos. the 1st & the briar is esp. interesting. happy 08.08.08 to you also - you are the first to point that out! did you post 08 photos?
ReplyDeletei like all the photos pero yung first ang pinakagusto ko.. malalim ang meaning para saken.. basta mahirap i-explain. lalo na siguro kung sa totoong buhay ko makikita yan. :)
Amazing your all photographs, I admire and I study for enough hour all your photographs, exists a lot of information on the place where you live!

@ bw - wow. being compared to NG is already something. Thanks.
ReplyDelete@ uno - thanks. one of my fave pics din yan.
ReplyDelete@ jericho - lols. rules of survival. protect. rescue. shelter. eat.
@ isadora - the stones were already there when our group arrived. maybe someone just played with the idea. the island is not really that hazardous although no one lives there.
ReplyDelete@ lilli and nevada - thanks you. just happy to share them with all of you.
ReplyDelete@ redlan - yun pala yun lols. kaya pala mabait din yung kilala kong ka birthday nya.
ReplyDelete@ tash - thanks. i didn't post 08 photos. i posted 09. lols. thanks for visiting.

@ jm - thanks. that's one of my favorite too and i shot it at the right side of the islands where the sand diminish into the boulders and the sea.
ReplyDelete@ bakhrian - thanks. that was a nice movie. and don't worry we didn't need the sign lols.

ReplyDeleteoo nga. I agree @ lawstude. norman ata yung name niya.
ReplyDeleteThey are all very beautiful and fun. But the first one is perfect for me:)
ReplyDeleteHave a nice 08.08.08
Okay sa mga pangalan. Dapat ata naglagay kayo ng flag or ng memorial to comemorate your stay on that place...hehe. nakakatakot yung puro tinik na halaman...buti walang nanulak.
ReplyDeleteall excellent! were you using some filters?
thanks for sharing!
Your photos are absolutely stunning.....and the ignorance of people around the world never ceases to amaze me.....(leaving trash, vandalizing...as if they are the only ones on the planet!)...... a very happy 080808 to you as well...my son (who lives in Beijing) says the excitement is UNBELIEVABLE.....the chinese being so into numbers!!!!
ReplyDeleteThose stones are really superb my friend.... Its awesome.... How they are that much colorful?
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful place and such a shame there are always those who leave litter and damage.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like blood on those rocks!
Great shots of what appears to be an amazing island. I like the humor in the "HELP" shot. :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, beautiful photos of what appears to be a wonderful place to visit. It is gorgeous - your photos are wonderful!!!
ReplyDeleteWow, they are all beautiful. Even the briar looks beautiful in front of the water and sky. It is sad how tourist do not respect places like this.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, is fantastic to travel in your photos, excellent.
ReplyDelete@ joann - thank you very much and welcome to my blog. happy 08-08-08 to you.
ReplyDelete@ pietro - thanks. i appreciate. have a nice weekend too.
ReplyDelete@ monsoon-dreams - you are welcome. it's a nice place for meditation and reflection.
ReplyDelete@ redlan - paburger naman kamo sya hehehe.
ReplyDelete@ pernille - thanks, that photo has wondres written all over it.
ReplyDelete@ em - madami halama doon na may tinik. it added some sort mystery about the place.
ReplyDeletei am using filter in some shots kaya lang medyo makulimlim kaya yung iba wala na filters.
@ neva - thanks. i am watching the opening ceremonies on tv and it is really, really spectacular.
ReplyDelete@ selerines - thanks. maybe the waves have polished the stones. it's really awesome.
ReplyDelete@ dot - no blood there. good thing our group were safe.
ReplyDeletei agree, shame to those people.
@ alan - lols. good thing we don't have to use it that time.
ReplyDeletehmmm, i am not even sure if the group before us needed that.
@ carletta - thanks. i appreciate the kind words.
ReplyDelete@ andrea - i think tourists who disrespect the place should be wrapped up in that briar. lols.
ReplyDelete@ daniel j santos - thank you. it is my pleasure to share what my country can offer to you.
i like the briar photo because it makes me feel a sense of struggle in it but at the same time it gives you an impression that there is hope and light and triumph at the end of that struggle.
ReplyDeletewonderful job as always!
I like all the photos but i like the briar the most. It's like you have to pass the torns before you could go to the beach.
ReplyDeleteGreat images. I particularly loved the first one.
ReplyDeleteparadise, captured. galing talaga. abogado, hearthrob pati tapos ngayon, seasoned photographer pa! Idol! :-)
ReplyDeleteTell me - gano kadalas ka nagta-travel to all these places? And you really take very beautiful photos!
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting Norwich Daily Photo and leaving your comments. Enjoy the Olympics!
joy
Welll.... Ganyan talaga!
ReplyDeleteKakainggit ang adventure mo with Kuya Dong ah! Hehe... Naks namabn....
Basta sana next time makarating ako diyan... As usual...
Thank you for sharing these beautiful photos of such a fantastic place which I will never be able to see in private.
ReplyDeleteI don’t know what one could do to prevent some people from vandalizing and leaving their trash all around they find themselves. I don’t know what kind of people they are when they don’t care about nature in which they like to enjoy and who don’t care about other generations that come. That really makes me angry.
ReplyDelete@ prinsesamusang - you know what? other than the leafless tree taht we call the firetree, the plant with torns is among my favorite subject there because like what you have said, it symbolizes difficulties amidst the beauty of the island.
ReplyDelete@ vinzent - somewhat mystical, don't you think? what comes to mind is medieval times when a castle is surrounded by torns and that one has to pass these torns to find the island's beauty.
ReplyDeleteok, i am imagining a bit...
@ ash - thanks ash. i like that pic too. it is kinda magical how it survived without leaf.
ReplyDelete@ r-yo - abogado ka na nga panyero lols. one out of three lang ako sa sinabi mo.
ReplyDeleteabogado - yes
hearthrob - ngek
seasoned photographer - malayo pa
@ tutubi - oo nga. ano kaya napapala nila doon. sinisira lang nila yung ganda ng island.
ReplyDelete@ joy - i usually travel twice a month and either my dslr or my point and shoot digital is my constant companion. thanks.
ReplyDelete@ richard the adventurer - basta tapusin mo muna pag-aaral mo. then pag kumikita ka na, makakapag-adventure ka na kung saan mo gusto. kita mo ko, wala ako savings kasi puro libot lols. buti pa si dong marami na pang lakwatsa.
ReplyDelete@ medam - thank you.
ReplyDeletethese people are really ignorant of the consequences of their acts. i personally think that awareness is the key for th to stop vandalizing and throwing their garbage there.
very nice, ls! :D i love the shots
ReplyDeleteFreaking Brill!
ReplyDeleteThe first photo was just great... til I saw Drift and Gush.
very nice....
what a beautiful land!
ReplyDeleteWhat a place, God!
ReplyDeleteYou sure took some beautiful photos of this island! Thank you for sharing and thank you also for your kind comment on my page. I appreciate your support!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE YOUR PHOTOS!!!!!!!
ReplyDelete@ acey - thanks. glad you like 'em.
ReplyDelete@ kris jasper van dyke - thanks kj. the drift photo is inspired by castaways while the gush photo is a thank you photo for we used that fresh water for freshing-up after a dip to the beach.
ReplyDelete@ pts - i cannot agree more. thanks for the visit.
ReplyDelete@ digital polaroids - the feeling was mutual.
ReplyDelete@ ms. hays - thank you. the island is really a landscapists dream that you can shoot at any angles.
ReplyDelete@ marie - thank you marie. i appreciate it a lot.
ReplyDeletei find the first two more perfectly surreal..
ReplyDeletegood campaign bro..i dont whats in the mind of those careless vandals..
places like these must be reserved to nxt generation of photogaphers:)
syangapala, kasama ako dito.

Splendid blog!
ReplyDeleteThank you for your words.
Has a good day!***
@ josh of arabia - i agree. these must be enjoyed by future generations to come.
ReplyDelete@ ferdz - pinakamadali yata kasi yung landscape shots bro eh. pinag-aaralang ko pa yung mga profiles at close object (macro) shots.
ReplyDeleteok kasi kasama si dom kaya enjoy.
@ maria p - thanks. have a good day too.
ReplyDeleteGinagawa ko din yang "was here" ngunit sa buhangin lang ng beach, tapos ay magpapalitrato sa "was here"
ReplyDelete
