White Beach is Boracay's premier beach. It comprises of a whole three and a half kilometers of fine, white coral sand, in places up to 100 meters wide. This is where all the major actions and fun happens. Various sports and recreational activities (to be featured in another post soon) also abound such as windsurfing, beach volleyball, para-sailing, jet-skiing, wading, Frisbee throwing as well as local games such as harang-taga.
This beach is also famous for its laid-back vibe that includes sunbathing on a sparkling white sand, or relaxing, often having an open air massage, under the cooling shelter of the bordering palm trees. And of course, full relaxation can be achieved by having a cold drink or fruit shakes which are readily available on the many bars and stands along the landside of this main beach.
Here are few shots I have taken on probably the Philippines' best beach:

White Beach tend to be really crowdy during the high season (November to June)because it is really where the action is. While the days tend to be sunny and dry, it doesn't mean that we have to share this paradise with loads of others. Besides, hotels fill up early and charges exorbitant rates.
So for me, the best time to go there is during off-season (July to October) where there is usually enough sun to keep us happy; where the sandy pedestrian walkway becomes navigable; where hotels lower the rates drastically; and most of all -it's possible to find a quiet part of the beach away from the maddening crowd.
ako first?
ReplyDeletethe pics make me wanna save and fly to bora as soon as possible. bora is so enticing!hehe. ganda ng pics, lalo na yung 5th pic. sarap ngang magchill dun..
Wala sana ako balak pumunta ng Bora this year pero dahil super mura nung Travel Mart eh napilitan ako ;) yung package na more than 10K naging 4430 lang.
ReplyDeleteyou're right, off-season is the best time to go to boracay...not only because of better rates but you can actually have some peace & quiet when it's not tourist season. december is also a good time to enjoy bora, after xmas.
wow! What a lucky time to read this while im here in boracay! Yihaa. More posts oman.
ReplyDeleteYou mentioned exorbitant rates in one of the paragraphs - may I know the price range then? Just to keep in mind b/c I'd love to visit Boracay probably next year.
ReplyDelete;)
I love the color of the sea. Really sparkling blue na!
Pasalubong na lang muna Kuya! Hehe :)
ReplyDeleteMalapit na bakasyon ko... Mag aadventure na rin ako!
Hm...I've been very impressed with the beauty of the beaches in Philippines. The name is definitely an appropriate reflection of the beach!
ReplyDeleteAnyway, I don't think that your photos are grainy when enlarged. I see that most of your photos are taken with ISO 200 or sometimes 400 but quite rarely 1600.
If my 14 and 11 year old children see these pictures...they will bug me to death for us to go and get a vacation back home! They adore Boracay and miss it the most! Before we left 6 years ago, we visited Boracay for the last time and they had a blast. Definitely a must see again!
ReplyDeletethanks for the vivid pictures and the memories it envokes within us.
LS: What a great looking place, off season seems like as nice weather as we have at our best. i'm glad you had a great time at Boracay.
ReplyDeleteThe beach is really very lovely and inviting. Make one feel so relaxed. The water looked so blue and the shallow shore is so fun.
ReplyDeleteagree, these month is part of bora's off season i believe. not only is bora less congested, it's also 50% (or more) cheaper from accommodations to set meals. great photos as usual.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful beaches attract crowds, that's a fact.
ReplyDeletewhat a lovely white sand beach :) The irony is I never had a chance to visit Boracay ! I am now mad at myself :(

ReplyDelete@ beero - first time mo yata na first ah. di naman kailangan magspend ng mahal kasi ang dami na promo ngayun just to go to bora.

@ kegler747 - wow maganda ngang deal yun. you just have to spend sa food and recreations.
ReplyDelete@ luna miranda - i agree. i have heard that there are lots of fireworl displays too during that time of the year as the resorts try to out do each other.
ReplyDelete@ rio - thanks doc and i agree. mas konti ang tourist pag off season at mura talaga.
ReplyDelete@ the dong - woohoo, enjoy your stay there at sigurado marami ka storoes and pics there. ingats.
ReplyDelete@ kyels - price range depends on wether you want a top-end, midrange or budget hotel. during off-season, these hotels usually give as much as 50%-off on their prices.
ReplyDeleteTop End Hotels such as Acanthus, Friday's, and Mandala usually have rates of $170-$200 on peak season but you can have them at around @100 during off season.
Midrange Hotels such as Villa Camilla, Casa Pilar and Watercolors usually offers $60 a night but you can have it at around $30 during off season.
Budget Accomodations like Orchids. Dave's Straw Hut Inn and Melinda's which ranges fro Php 1000 to Php 1,500 during peak season can be had for only Php 500-800 during off season.
Plus, airfares are considerably lower.
@ lionheart - ok yan richard, have a break, have a kit-kat.
ReplyDelete@ share my point of view - thanks. white beach truly reflect the beach of Boracay.
ReplyDeleteI rarely use ISO 1600 but i will feature some long exposure shots in my future post about night life in boracay. I used SS of 2 sec with ISO 1600 in some of those shots.

ReplyDelete@ fishing guy - thanks. i truly had a great time there.

ReplyDeleteLawstude, nakakhaiya mang aminin, ngunit hindi pa ako nakakatuntong sa Bora.Hahaha.
ReplyDeleteI never been to this place. What a shame really. I've been to many places in the world but not to my native country.
ReplyDeleteBy the way, I could not find my links here. I added you already long time ago.
Keep it up and hope to see you in my sites as well.
My first time to Bora was off season more than a decade ago. It was bliss! The succeeding ones, kahit off season matao pa rin but you are right, off season is much better than peak season. Kawawa na ang island kapag peak season and i think, the govt should think of limiting the tourists coming in in the future.
ReplyDeleteIt's a balmy 34 degrees here, so don't think a lovely beach wouldn't be appealing about now!
ReplyDeleteLovely as usual...
Sandi
Off Season, Peak Season, Boracay is great...all seasons!
ReplyDeleteBe back soon, okay? Take care.
Kala ko nagbalik ka na. Repost pala ito hehehe. Anyways, treat pa rin to sa mga di to nakita before. Balik ka agad.
ReplyDeleteMas gusto ko ngang off-peak pag pumunta dyan eh. :)
ReplyDeleteWhat's keeping you busy? I miss reading your posts. Take care always. :)
Stunning...beautiful... awesome! I love visiting your blog and drinking in these heavenly photos.
ReplyDelete:-)
Us of the slang "Bora" often causes great offense in Boracay. The islanders HATE it, especially because it is confused with BoraBora in French Polynesia.
ReplyDeleteIn the whole world's life, at some time, our inner throw goes out. It is then burst into enthusiasm by an face with another benign being. We should all be thankful for the duration of those people who rekindle the inner spirit
ReplyDeleteAng ganda talaga sa boracay. Kitang kita talaga ang nature ng philippines. The best talaga dito. Sana makapunta na ko dyan..
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing

ReplyDeleteGreat read! Maybe you could do a follow up to this topic!
