To continue where I left off in my previous post, let me introduce you to a small cove/paradise located in Bataan. Playa La Caleta is a virgin resort sitting along the shores near Morong, Bataan. Lush green forests, amazing rock formations and pristine sand greet visitors as they set foot on the place.
It is the perfect place to be when you want an escape from the busy city environment. Downside however is that there is no electricity and mobile phone signal is very low. However, there are no residents around the beach, except of course, for the caretakers so you're assured that the place is all yours for the taking. And just a little trivia: the beach and sea shore scenes in GMA's Fantaserye Dyesebel starring Marian Rivera was shot there.
So, if you are tired of going to the same old commercial places like Boracay or Puerto Galera or Pagudpud, then, you could give this place a try.

How to go there?
There are hourly bus (Genesis, Five Star) departing from Cubao to Balanga City. Then from Balanga City Terminal, there are vans and buses that will take you to either Bagac or Morong. Then you need to ride a tricycle to the boat area. Then ride a boat going to Playa La Caleta.
as much as i like commercialized beaches, i too like isolated beaches like this one. I remember being in morong a year ago and we really enjoyed it. No wonder why the sea turtles choose morong to be their hatching sanctuary. Sarap magweekend dyan.
ReplyDeletethe 1st photo depicts peace and serenity..excellent shot!
ReplyDeletekeep on revealing the hidden paradise of the Philippines, thank you for the informations!
Sa wakas tama ako, sa Luzon nga ito. Bka ito yung sinasabi saken ng classmate ko dati nung college na taga Morong, Bataan. Additional tip: you can ride a ferry at CCP complex to Morong Bataan, yun kse ang sinasakyan nya every Saturday.
ReplyDeletetama ka attorney..ok nga po ang place na ito para sa taong gustong makpgrelax at umiwas sa maingay at magulong buhay sa syudad..magandamag spent dito ng holy week..=}
ReplyDeleteman, i'd love to be in this cove right NOW! the top photo is just perfect...

ReplyDeleteLove the first photo Oman. Didn't know that teleserye later parts were shot here. Maganda din yung place. Bataan still have a lot of coves and private beaches. I remember when we visited Quinawan before, dami pa naming mga coves with white beaches na nakita.
ReplyDeletehi! the place looks so serene. were looking for a place to spend the weekend and we would like to try new place that is not too crowded. can you send me an e-mail of how much you spend on the said trip; like boat fee, etc. does the said resort have accomodations and all. my e-mail add is sheryl_1480@yahoo.com. many thanks!
ReplyDeletehi...im actuallly from bataan..i didn't have any speck of idea that a place like that exists...im also a lone traveller myself...always go to mt. samat amidst the lush forest...i might visit that soon...may i know where exactly should i take the boat ride?is it in morong town proper?
ReplyDeleteHi sir!
ReplyDeleteI would just like to inquire if camping overnight is allowed in Playa? We are a group of mountaineers and would like to enjoy the beauty of this place..
Also, i would like to inquire of a rough estimate of the round-trip fare back and forth that place.
thank you sir..
Very beautiful place.
