Playa La Caleta

To continue where I left off in my previous post, let me introduce you to a small cove/paradise located in Bataan. Playa La Caleta is a virgin resort sitting along the shores near Morong, Bataan. Lush green forests, amazing rock formations and pristine sand greet visitors as they set foot on the place.

It is the perfect place to be when you want an escape from the busy city environment. Downside however is that there is no electricity and mobile phone signal is very low. However, there are no residents around the beach, except of course, for the caretakers so you're assured that the place is all yours for the taking. And just a little trivia: the beach and sea shore scenes in GMA's Fantaserye Dyesebel starring Marian Rivera was shot there.

So, if you are tired of going to the same old commercial places like Boracay or Puerto Galera or Pagudpud, then, you could give this place a try.

Lush Greens and Amazing Rock Formations

From Peebles to Rocks to Landscapes

Powdery-White Sands in a Shoreline

Rocky Shoreline on the Other Side

A Small Island Fit for Trekking

Fresh Water Meeting The Sea

Just relax and view the reflection of the Golden Sun

How to go there?

There are hourly bus (Genesis, Five Star) departing from Cubao to Balanga City. Then from Balanga City Terminal, there are vans and buses that will take you to either Bagac or Morong. Then you need to ride a tricycle to the boat area. Then ride a boat going to Playa La Caleta.

  1. as much as i like commercialized beaches, i too like isolated beaches like this one. I remember being in morong a year ago and we really enjoyed it. No wonder why the sea turtles choose morong to be their hatching sanctuary. Sarap magweekend dyan.
