I often wonder why my post on Carabao Island in Romblon is my most popular one. I could guess lots of reasons but these may still not be enough. The place is bucolic and charming at the same time and provides one of the best seascape views in the area. Let me just re-share these shots which I have taken in one of the island's highest peak, Tagaytay Combot, where you will have an amazing view of the sea and the adjoining islands of Boracay, Panay, Tablas and other islands and islets of Aklan and Romblon Provinces. Combination of fertile greens, blue sea, bright sky and fading hues of the islands make this spot on earth a real close to heaven experience.
The best way to go to Tagaytay Combot is by riding motorcycles that can be rented for about Php 300 (good for about 2 to 3 hours). Then, you need to walk for about ten minutes to this place where your motorcycle driver will also be your guide. Or if you are more adventurous, you can trek from Inobahan Beach to Tagaytay Combot for about two hours. There is a combination of paved and dirt roads to walk on to. Just be sure to smile a lot and be friendly with locals so that they will lead you to the right direction. Locals here are reputed to be unfriendly so I am expecting just that, but a friendly smile and warm greetings to anyone you meet along the way would definitely do you good.
