It all started with an e-mail from Ivan Man Dy (Yup, the dude who ate fish balls with Anthony Bourdain of No Boundaries)inviting me to an afternoon of Presidential treats. Ivan is the man behind Old Manila Walks and he is relaunching the tour 'Power, Palace and a SHOT of Beer! - a walking tour around Manila's historical places. So after several returns of emails with Ivan and exchanges of texts with travel-bud Dong Ho, I hopped on a bus one early Saturday morning from Cabanatuan and headed straight to Manila to join the Walk.

Disneyland Parade
Everybody loves a parade. When I was younger, I remember people flocking the streets just to watch a simple Barangay Santa Cruzan. Maybe its the colors or the pageantry or maybe just knowing someone participate in it is already a fun in itself. We marvel at the lights, the glitz and the smile that is common whether it is just a simple Barangay Parade or a lavish Grand Festival such as the Flower Festival of Pasadena and its local Baguio City version.

Disneyland's Main Street, U.S.A.
Main Street, U.S.A. will take you back to a 20th-Century town of America where cobbled-stone streets and brick-walled buildings are the prominent fixtures of the place. You will have a great time strolling on this quaint street or you can ride in Main Streets vehicles that includes the Paddy Wagon or the Main Street Taxi.

Tomorrowland
Tomorrowland is Hong Kong Disneylands Themepark that features rides of stratospheric proportions. I truly enjoyed this part of Disneyland because I have relived my childhood fantasies again. I have ridden and participated in almost all rides and attractions in this part of the park (except the Buzz Lighyear Astro Blasters because it is strictly for kids only and I could not fit in the Cruiser even if I wanted too lol).

Adventureland
Adventureland is Hong Kong Disneyland's Jungle theme park. It is inspired by actual places of Africa, Polynesia and South-East Asia. It is the largest Adventureland of all the Magic Kingdom parks around the world. It boasts of attractions such as the Lion King Festival, Tarzan's Tree House, Liki Tikis and Jungle River Cruise.

Hakuna Matata
One of the must-see attractions in Hong Kong Disneyland is the Festival of the Lion King. It is a ravishing spectacle of lights, songs and costumes all combined to give you that superlative entertainment. This is a show not just for kids but also for kids-at-heart. So i didn't mind waiting for almost an hour for the theater to open and the show to begin... Hakuna Matata!

Tarzan's Tree House
I grew up watching Tarzan on TV. Who doesn't know his story? A boy left in the jungle, reared by apes and fell in love with the beautiful Jane. And of course, who would forget that loud scream of aaaaaaaah aahhhh he belts out while swinging in the vines. Tarzan indeed is an icon and immortalized in every Disney Theme Park.
