Interpix: Puto ng San Antonio

If there are native delicacies that stand out in the province of Nueva Ecija, these have got to be the rice cakes of San Antonio.

A favorite staple during fiestas and other celebrations, rice cakes are perfect as desserts or as a partner to some other meals such as palabok, pansit, spaghetti or sopas. With several varieties to choose from like the Maja Blanca, Sapin-sapin, Bibingkang Kanin and Biko to name a few, one would definitely find a puto that is perfect for his taste.

Every place and every culture definitely have their own way of preparing rice cakes but one thing I can guarantee is that when in Nueva Ecija, the puto of San Antonio are the best there is in the area.
