If there are native delicacies that stand out in the province of Nueva Ecija, these have got to be the rice cakes of San Antonio.A favorite staple during fiestas and other celebrations, rice cakes are perfect as desserts or as a partner to some other meals such as palabok, pansit, spaghetti or sopas. With several varieties to choose from like the Maja Blanca, Sapin-sapin, Bibingkang Kanin and Biko to name a few, one would definitely find a puto that is perfect for his taste.
Every place and every culture definitely have their own way of preparing rice cakes but one thing I can guarantee is that when in Nueva Ecija, the puto of San Antonio are the best there is in the area.
