Big Breakfast at Ayette's Bamboo House and Restaurant |
In earlier days, we often find ourselves craving for modern comforts while we are tucked far away from civilizations. We give away some comforts in exchange with the very laid back ambiance of a particular place. We used to let go of comfy beds, internet/wifi, cellfone signals and all-to-common snacks in order to enjoy the almost virginal beauty of mother nature.
I experienced just that when I spent sometime in Port Barton, Palawan. It is a "back-to-basics; back-to-nature" type of place - a tropical place tucked far away from the comforts of civilization. After spending sometime enjoying local cuisine of mostly fresh sea food, one could sometime miss the simple treats offered by one's home city.
But, surprisingly, there is a local restaurant there that offers foods you used to have at home. Ayette's Bamboo House and Restaurant serve all too familiar home-cooked meals that feels like home. I have tried their version of a big breakfast that includes two eggs cooked in a way you like, bacon, tomatoes, slices of cheese, butter and french bread sliced in half.
Isn't it awesome that you get the best of both places - a place where you can commune with nature while having the comfort foods you always enjoyed. Ah, life!
That looks yummy.
ReplyDeleteHi vinzent, if you haven't tasted bacon for almost a week, then you get it at an unexpected place... happiness.
DeleteI am not much of a bacon person and if there are fresh sea foods around then I even if there are no bacon it is just fine for me. Now, if that place has Starbucks, then that's a different story.
DeleteHaha, wala pang Starbucks dun. 3-in-1 meron :)
DeleteYummy indeed!! Great way to start any day, Oman!! Hope you have a great weekend!!!
ReplyDeleteHi Sylvia, thanks. Have a great weekend too.
Deletelooks like a substantial breakfast. i'd like to stay in places like this where i can get fresh seafood grilled to order. yum.
ReplyDeleteHi Photo Cache, I have no complaints about sea food. I love it there.
DeleteLooks like a breakfast served in a hotel. Is that French bread? Never been to Port Barton but is it far from Puerto Princesa?
ReplyDeletePort Barton is about four to five hours by bus from Puerto Princesa. It's a smaller version of French Bread so I think Bagette lang to or Vietnamese Bread.
DeleteBreakfast fit for a King!!
ReplyDeleteyup, very filling breakfast :)
DeleteHi sir Oman!
Maraming factors na dapat isa-alang alang like budget, time, health and kasama na rin jan ang isang high-end na camera to capture those panoramic views.
Maraming salamat po pala sa pagbisita sa aking munting tambayan sa dito sa blogosphere :-)
Hi Fiel, it's always great to meet fellow bloggers even in other fields. :)
DeleteThat's my kind of breakfast. But only once in awhile. :) Too many calories!
ReplyDeleteHaha, a few won't hurt :)
DeleteA place far away from the hustle and bustle of a busy metropolis is like a slice of heaven. That's why I always love the idea of visiting far flung places with the basics to offer. After all I don't have any problem with having just the basics in life. At some point, the basics are what creates a memorable impact in one's life. And nice to know, you've had that chance :) :)
