Selfie Sunday : Ivan of Batang Lakwatsero

Ivan in the Summit of Mount Kitanglad


Ivan Cultura aka Batang Lakwatsero believes that we live in a big strange land, so we must go forth, explore, discover. And discover he did for this young traveler has been climbing mountains after mountains. Name a mountain and he has probably climbed it... from Apo to Pulag, from Kanlaon to D2K and many, many more. 


Asked about the photo above which was taken in Mount Kitanglad in Bukidnon, Ivan quipped "I don't know how to describe this photo. Basta peyborit ko yan, hehe. It simply shows how the mountains, the heights, the peaks, the edges, keep me alive." 

Mountain definitely keeps Ivan alive and he is currently not climbing alone because our featured traveler has found an inspiration in a form of a lovely companion. Read more of Ivan's stories at Batang Lakwatsero.

      Ivan is one of those guys I admire 'coz oh his insatiable thirst for mountain climbing. Made me regret my younger days spent not climbing more :)

    Ivan clearly has this zest for higher places. It's as if being in a peak gives him more definition of his life. A sense of fulfillment that he can only achieve when climbing. It's like his adrenaline keeps burning with passion when he's on top of the world.
