Make Your Own Pizza |
Concept diners are dime-a-dozen in the Metro and each of them will try to outdo each other in terms of gimmicks and something new to offer. Project Pie has brands itself as "an everyday artisan pizza custom built by you". As their story goes, one man got sick of eating bad pizza and thought the good stuff cost too much. So he set out to createa fast, casual, custom pizza restaurant, and ended up pioneering the category. After opening Mod Pizza in Seattle and Pie-Ology in California, both to popular acclaim, he decided to move the idea forward. Thus, Project Pie was born and dubbed as the next generation of pizza pie.

Now in the Philippines, Project Pie offers a different experience from your usual Pizza Parlor. There are two ways of ordering your pizza. You can opt for a custom-made recipe called "by the numbers" or you can make it more exciting by choosing your own ingredients. You can choose the sauce, the cheese and the toppings from an array of their fresh stuff.
For my own pie, I chose their signature red sauce. For the cheese, I had a combination of gorgonzolla and mozzarella. As toppings, I picked prosciutto and pepperoni, then added bell peppers, tomatoes, black olives and caramelized onions. After just ten minutes, my pizza was ready.
Cost per pizza is Php 285 and drink-all-you can beverage cost Php 65. They have several branches now around the metro but I have visited their Mandaluyong Store located at 515 Shaw, 1555 Laurel Street corner Shaw Blvd, Wack Wack, Mandaluyong City (in front of S&R).
Also, what I love about the store are their quote-filled walls that will keep your waiting time interesting. Some of my favorite quotes I have read there are as follows:
"A person who never made a mistake never tried anything new." - Albert Einstein
"I don't fear failure. I fear succeeding at something that doesn't matter." - Dan Erickson
"It's better to look back on life and say: "I can't belive I did that", than to look back and say : "I wish I did that." - Anonymous
Good food for the tummy and thoughts for the brain, that is what Project Pie offers.
yap customizing one's pizza is wonderful. we rately eat pizza outside preferring to make our own at home. we buy the dough from a pizza store then we baked it at home with our preferred ingredients.
ReplyDeletewe do that at home to but we call it pan-de-pizza coz we use pan slices as dough then we top it with sauce and cheese and other ingredients.
