Camarines Norte : Sunset at Isla Calaguas

Second Time Around

“Soon it got dusk, a grapy dusk, a purple dusk over tangerine groves and long melon fields; the sun the color of pressed grapes, slashed with burgandy red, the fields the color of love and Spanish mysteries.”... that's Jack Kerouac on the road describing a perfect sunset. Sunset is one of my favorite time of the day because during this time, the sky becomes canvass and the fading sun provides all the colors you could possibly see. Each scene is like a painting and that no painting is ever the same.

And having witnessed sunset in one of the best Philippine beach, in the Isla Calaguas, is just priceless for these are the moments that will always linger in your mind how many hundreds of kilometers you may be from the place where the painting was made. So, enjoy Isla Calaguas... I know I always will.

  6. So how is Calaguas the second time around? I have heard stories that the island has become a party place and has lost some of its natural appeal. So sad if it that is the case.

    1. Yup. Next summer maybe? But at the rate our climate is changing, summer-like weather may not be too far away.
